The reason why most of us find the final Blue Sky shot of Scrat finally eating his acorn so overwhelming, is because it's supposed to be a happy ending of him finally reuniting with Scratte as well, but he didn't!

He and Scratte have been apart for about 13 years!

And they have to get back together again once and for all in Ice Age: Scrat and Scratte Tales!
