Petition updatePROTECT WICKLESHAM QUARRY FROM DEVELOPMENTWicklesham CrowdJustice Appeal has reached £8,405! Now let's get all the way to our £10,000 target!
Anna HoareSwindon, United Kingdom
Oct 19, 2016 — https://www.crowdjustice.org/case/sssi-and-conservationtarget-area Here's what my barrister says about the Campaign to Protect Wicklesham Quarry: "The case raises many important points of principle of environmental justice. It will allow the court to examine how far a Neighbourhood Plan can depart from the strategic choices of the broader Local Plan, what effect a Biodiversity Action Plan has on planning policy, how exactly environmental assessment informs such a process, as well as the role and weight of restoration and aftercare obligations when quarrying operations come to an end." (Pavlos Eleftheriadis, FTB Chambers) https://www.crowdjustice.org/case/sssi-and-conservationtarget-area Thank you to to everyone who has made a donation to the Appeal! With your help and support we can reach our £10,000 target in time to apply for a Judicial Review. Please let EVERYONE know that Wicklesham CrowdJustice Appeal is working to save "one of Britain's richest palaeontological sites" from becoming an industrial warehousing site. Thank you to all our supporters, including our wonderful, dedicated lawyers, Pavlos Eleftheriadis of FTB Chambers and Linda Felton of Fortune Green Legal Practice!
