Don't Take Away LGBTQ+ Marriage Rights

The Issue

I am making this petition because I am LGBTQ and so are my friends and some of my family and I dont think that the Supreme Court should be able to take away same sex marriages. I think this because I dont think the Supreme Court has a good enough reason or excuse to take away years of work. In the latest news I have seen about this, Louise Melling, Deputy Legal Director of the ACLU, said in one of his latest podcasts; "The ACLU has no question about the right of people and organizations have their beliefs and to practice their beliefs, but it's to practice your beliefs as long as they dont hurt anyone else. And in this context, if Catholic Social Services can practice it's beliefs in terms of turning away families because they are same-sex, it's hurting others." I strongly agree with what Melling had to say about this. One of my solutions for this problem is to continue the separation of church and state. Jefferson once said "Believing with you that religion is matter which lies solely between Man and his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, and not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, thus building a wall of separation between church and state." Basically he is saying that your religion should not be mixed up with your politics. This is how I feel about this petition.
