Subject: Re: Direct Diagnostic Tests for Lyme Disease Published: 11 October 2018

Dr. Mead,

It has been ten days since you received my email below asking you to answer six extremely important questions.

Since you recently acknowledged (as a coauthor of the Schutzer paper) that current antibody tests are inadequate  for the management of Lyme disease, what is the CDC doing right now  (not in the distant future) to fast track direct diagnostic tests for Lyme disease; a disease capable of ruining lives, ending careers while leaving the patient in financial ruin?

Direct detection tests are urgently needed for Lyme disease patient care without CDC employees making Lyme disease policies to fit their own agenda at the expense of public health.

Please answer the questions originally asked on Nov 16th below and let us know (who has been carbon copied on this email) if this inquiry will require a subpoena.

Carl Tuttle
