A complaint against the CDC was filed with the Department of Justice on Dec 21, 2017 and posted as an update to this petition:

As a follow-up to that petition update please see the letter below identifying the runaround experienced with the Department of Justice as this government agency continues to turn a blind eye to the many citizens’ complaints over the mishandling of Lyme disease here in the United States.
Feel free to write your own letter in support of this complaint.

Subject: Re: Complaint filed with the Antitrust Division on December 21, 2017.
On April 25, 2018 John Elias wrote: “RICO investigations do not fall within the purview of the Antitrust Division.”
Dear Mr. Elias,
The following is a review of the excuses received from the DOJ for not pursuing my complaint against the U. S. Centers for Disease Control’s fraudulent handling of a disease capable of death and disability.
1. January 5, 2018: The Citizen Complaint Center has determined that your concerns are more appropriately handled by the Criminal Division. (No follow-up)
2. April 11, 2018: I have referred this matter to the Antitrust Division’s Healthcare and Consumer Products Section. If the review by the attorneys in that section results in the need for additional information, they will be in touch. (No follow-up)
3. April 25, 2108: RICO investigations do not fall within the purview of the Antitrust Division. You have the option of pursuing claims through private counsel if you personally have been impacted by the alleged conduct. (Go fend for yourself)

OUR MISSION STATEMENT
https://www.justice.gov/about
“To enforce the law and defend the interests of the United States according to the law; to ensure public safety against threats foreign and domestic; to provide federal leadership in preventing and controlling crime; to seek just punishment for those guilty of unlawful behavior; and to ensure fair and impartial administration of justice for all Americans.”
Mr. Elias,
I understand that I’m not the only one filing complaints against the CDC and the mishandling of Lyme disease so the DOJ has had a history of turning a blind eye to public outcry over this concern. (I will provide references)
A crime has been identified and submitted to the court system here in the United States and there is ample evidence showing that the CDC participated in this scheme through tax payer dollars financing the dishonest science aligning themselves with the defendants.
I recommend you read the court document to gain an understanding of how this life-altering/life-threatening infection was misclassified as a low-risk and non-urgent health threat.
The court document can be found at the following link:

There are no Public Service Announcements informing the public that you could become horribly, horribly disabled or die from Lyme disease.
Might I remind you that the CDC has had a track record of mishandling disease in the past.
It was Senator Ted Kennedy who launched a congressional investigation into the Tuskegee syphilis experiment that exposed that travesty.

Excerpt:
“The participation of minorities in clinical studies is the subject of much discussion and has even become the subject of Federal law. The project known as the Tuskegee Syphilis Study and officially titled "The Tuskegee Study of Untreated Syphilis in the Negro Male," is one of the great debacles of American medicine and a national shame. Despite the fact that its existence is well known, many do not know the historical facts of the study nor the context of the study. My purpose here is to recount the facts of the study and its historical context.”

Turning a blind eye to the mishandling of Lyme disease here in the U.S. has affected public safety as there has been no oversight allowing the CDC to answer only to themselves.
It would appear that the Department of Justice is either incapable of understanding the severity of this crime or would prefer to sweep it under the rug so as not to rock the boat.
These actions are absolutely deplorable.
Respectfully submitted,
Carl Tuttle
