Petition updateCalling for a Congressional investigation of the CDC, IDSA and ALDFPart 4: New species of Borrelia in the Hudson Valley, NY area?

This update is a continuation of the CDC’s lack of follow-up after a new Borrelia species was reported in the Hudson Valley area of New York.
The CDC uses molecular diagnostics (DNA sequencing) when performing autopsies of deceased Lyme patients but has turned a blind eye to Milford Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory’s DNA Lyme test.
Other Fatal/Life-threatening studies:
1. Lyme disease: A case report of a 17-year old male with fatal Lyme carditis
http://www.cardiovascularpathology.com/article/S1054-8807(15)00025-3/abstract?rss=yes
We describe a case of a 17-year-old adolescent who died unexpectedly after a 2-week viral-like syndrome. Postmortem examination was remarkable for diffuse pancarditis characterized by extensive infiltrates of lymphocytes and focal interstitial fibrosis. In the cardiac tissue, Borrelia burgdorferi was identified via special stains, immunohistochemistry and PCR.
2. Fatal Lyme carditis and endodermal heterotopia of the atrioventricular node.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2429516/
A fatal case of Lyme carditis occurring in a Suffolk farm worker is reported. Post-mortem examination of the heart showed pericarditis, focal myocarditis and prominent endocardial and interstitial fibrosis
3. Fatal pancarditis in a patient with coexistent Lyme disease and babesiosis. Demonstration of spirochetes in the myocardium.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/4040723
A 66-year-old man developed fever, chills, myalgias, three erythematous skin lesions, and transient left eyelid lag. Because of persistent fever, he was hospitalized 4 weeks after the onset of disease; a peripheral blood smear showed Babesia microti in 3% of his erythrocytes. Eighteen hours later, he died unexpectedly. Autopsy showed pancarditis with a diffuse lymphoplasmacytic infiltrate, and spirochetes were found in the myocardium.
4. Lyme borreliosis as a cause of myocarditis and heart muscle disease.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1915460
These findings give further evidence that LB is associated with chronic heart muscle disease.
5. Cardiac Lyme disease - case report - A Fatality confirmed with Autopsy PCR study
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/18329555/
We describe the case of a 37-year-old Caucasian man with a 1-month history of fevers, rash, and malaise who died unexpectedly on the day after he underwent medical evaluation.
6. Unclassified cardiomyopathy or Lyme carditis? A three year follow-up.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23575786
We present the case of a 41 year-old Caucasian woman referred to our hospital with symptoms of fatigue, progressive exertional dyspnoea, supraventricular cardiac arrhythmia, and an enlarged heart revealed on chest radiography
7. Professor Neil Spector: Duke physician uses near-death experience to encourage patient self-advocacy
http://www.dukechronicle.com/articles/2015/05/28/duke-physician-uses-near-death-experience-encourage-patient-self-advocacy#.VYlYnxtViko
Duke University Professor Neil Spector required a heart transplant after experiencing four years of undiagnosed-untreated Lyme disease.

To our legislators on three continents (and 75 others) who were blind carbon copied on this email thread:
I would like to call attention to the recently published CDC autopsy study on five Lyme disease patients who dropped dead from their infection:
Cardiac Tropism of Borrelia burgdorferi: An Autopsy Study of Sudden
Cardiac Death Associated with Lyme Carditis. (March 2016)
http://ajp.amjpathol.org/article/S0002-9440(16)00099-7/abstract
Excerpt:
“Fatal Lyme carditis caused by the spirochete Borrelia burgdorferi rarely is identified. Here, we describe the pathologic, immunohistochemical, and molecular findings of five case patients.”

We can diagnose Borrelia infection using molecular diagnostics (DNA sequencing) post-mortem but not in the living? Pathology results from autopsy and biopsied tissue have proven antibiotic resistant/tolerant Borrelia infection time and time again. Why are we not collecting tissue samples from chronic Lyme patients’ (liver, bladder, prostate etc.) and evaluating these samples using the same techniques that the CDC used for the five patients who died of sudden cardiac death? It is quite possible that tissue samples from horribly disabled Lyme patients are teeming with spirochetes.
Confirming an antibiotic resistance/tolerant superbug puts Lyme in an entirely different class of infection requiring immediate attention. As more and more of the world’s population become’s horribly disabled from Lyme (Patient examples) it has become crystal clear that the CDC has colluded to deny a life-altering/life-threatening infection
Patient examples: https://www.change.org/p/the-us-senate-calling-for-a-congressional-investigation-of-the-cdc-idsa-and-aldf/u/11340872
Colusion to deny: https://www.change.org/p/the-us-senate-calling-for-a-congressional-investigation-of-the-cdc-idsa-and-aldf/u/14500086
Life-altering/life-threatening infection: https://www.change.org/p/the-us-senate-calling-for-a-congressional-investigation-of-the-cdc-idsa-and-aldf/u/14006106
Question: There appears to be a deliberate avoidance for confirming persistent Borrelia infection in the living. Why?
DNA sequencing has the ability to detect early Borrelia infection (And multiple species) before antibodies are produced so why isn’t this type of test readily available in Lyme endemic regions across the United States? Milford Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory: http://www.dnalymetest.com/
A positive DNA test is irrefutable evidence of active infection with 100% certainty while antibody tests (Serology) cannot be used to gauge treatment failure or success.
