Recently the University of Tennessee announced a change to the branding for athletics programs. The university wants “One Tennessee” and will unify all sports except women’s basketball under the wordmark “Tennessee Volunteers” and the “Power T” logo.

However, the current plan means that women’s athletics will be losing their “Lady Volunteers” wordmark, with the exception of women’s basketball who will keep their unique logo and wordmark.

The bottom line is that the Lady Vols should keep their name, but we understand UT's desire to unify the brand.

THE SOLUTION:
Keep Lady Vols for all women’s athletics. Period.
*AND* unify the logo under the Power T.

THE RESULT:
ONE TENNESSEE, with the rich history and future of the Lady Volunteers.
