As incoming freshman students at the university of Tampa many of us received a heart breaking email that devastated all of us earlier today. After being told numerous times when touring and applying to the school our on campus housing would be guaranteed as freshmen, they informed hundreds of us that we were on a waitlist for a dorm room, and that it’s not likely we will be placed in student housing. 
Thousands of students committed to this school just to find out we don’t even have a bed to sleep in at night. Many of us don’t have any other choice but to attend The University of Tampa because they had informed us weeks after decisions were due at other institutions. A large number of incoming students are from out of state and have no clue about anything in Tampa. Some of us are only 17 years old and will be sent to a city with little to no guidance. 
We are all truly disappointed at the way The university of Tampa has handled their admissions process this year, and we hope they can help provide us with housing for our freshman year of college. Thank you to everyone who has signed so far, hopefully UT can right their wrongs!
