The United States of America: Tougher Laws On Bullying

The United States of America: Tougher Laws On Bullying
The Issue
A young lady in my hometown of Racine, WI, took her life with bullying being a factor in December of 2013.
I was a victim of bullying from elementary school through high school.
I want youth to know that it is not "ok" to be a bully or to get bullied.
The United States of America needs to recognize that bullying is an epidemic. The United States government and the individual states need to hold those commiting these acts accountable for their actions. I am proposing mandatory counseling and/or jail time for those committing these acts. In addition, I propose mandatory sentences for those committing bullying acts which result in the victim committing suicide.
