The National Anthem should be a staple of any country to sing along to at national and sporting events. However, as time passes we should really have a more modern anthem to sing along to, in which everyone can sing along to both young and old. That is why I am proposing that we should change the UK National Anthem to Mr Brightside by The Killers. The reason for this proposed change is that this song both captures both the spirit and unity a national anthem should exemplify and nothing brings together people like this song can: a family reunion, the end of club night, a music festival, now...the UK National Anthem. Most importantly, more people know the words to this great song and will inject the much needed passion into the national spirit of the national anthem.
