Stop Bombing Civilians

Bombing civilians is not war, it's a crime!
Join our fight against the bombing of civilians by signing our international petition. Together we have the power to demand action from the UK Government and other States.

Recent years have seen entire neighbourhoods in countries like Syria, Iraq and Yemen become battlegrounds. The use of very powerful and inaccurate explosive weapons in densely populated areas has led to a massive increase in civilian casualties. This practice contravenes international law and the Geneva Conventions.

92% of the victims of bombings in populated areas are civilians: children, women and men killed by barbaric and indiscriminate weapons! Every day, 90 civilians are killed or injured by explosive weapons! This is unacceptable!

Target: One million people demanding action!
Your signature is an important weapon in the fight to protect civilians.
Together, we succeeded in banning anti-personnel mines in 1997 and cluster munitions in 2008. Today, we can and must protect civilians from the devastating effects of indiscriminate bombing in populated areas.

We call on:
The UK Government and States worldwide to:

  1. Publicly condemn the bombing of civilians,
  2. End the use of explosive weapons in populated areas,
  3. Assist victims and support demining in areas affected by bombing.
