Please help to rescue Mrs. Fei Han who has been illegally abducted by the Chinese Regime

Mrs. Han is the mother of UK resident Ms. Hui Li, and has been abducted from her home in Beijing Chaoyang District Public Security Branch, Beijing, China on December 4th 2019 because of her spiritual belief in Falun Gong. Falun Gong is a peaceful meditation discipline centered on the values of truth, compassion and tolerance, which has been brutally persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party for the past 20 years. Like many other Falun Gong practitioners in China, her imprisonment could result in lengthy prison terms, serious persecution and her life is in danger. So we are calling for her immediate release and for the release of all other prisoners of conscience in China.

Around 5pm on December 4th 2019, a group of police officers from the Changying Police Station in Chaoyang District and Chaoyang Police Department broke into Mrs. Han’s private house without permission, searched her home and abducted her illegally. There were no other family members around when this happened. Mrs. Han’s husband returned home after work to find his wife not there. And Falun Dafa books, informational materials, and their computer and printer were missing too. A neighbor later told him that two police cars had been to their home earlier that day. We know that Mrs. Han is currently being held in Beijing Chaoyang District Public Security Branch Detention Center but her husband is not allowed to visit her. The police said that Mrs. Han was taken because someone had reported that she continues to practice Falun Gong. 

From 2008 to 2010, Mrs. Han had experienced persecution and imprisonment in a labour camp for 2 years for practicing Falun Gong. After she was released, she was still disturbed and monitored by the local 610 office (an establishment devised for the purpose of coordinating and implementing the persecution of Falun Gong).

Ms. Hui Li (Mrs. Fei Han’s daughter) has been living in the UK for 5 years, and is currently working in the waste water industry as a mechanical engineer. She was extremely sad and worried when she was told what had happened to her mother. She has been doing petition and volunteer work for stopping the persecution and forced organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners in many years. So she clearly knows how serious the persecution towards Falun Gong practitioners in China is. In July 1999, the Communist Party launched a campaign to eradicate Falun Gong through extensive propaganda, mass imprisonment, and torture. The atrocities continue to this day. Even more horrifying is that the Chinese government has, and still is, engaging in the mass killing of Falun Gong practitioners for the purpose of selling their organs for transplant.

Mrs. Han is among the hundreds of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners who have been imprisoned and persecuted in China for their spiritual belief. She has never broken any law, but is being abducted again solely for exercising her fundamental rights and freedom of belief. 

We are asking the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) to do everything in their power to secure her safe release, and to call for the end of the persecution of Falun Gong in China. We all have a duty to defend human dignity, freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, and the rule of law, whenever and wherever these values come under assault.
