The Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) is a proposed law in the United States which would allow for the sharing of internet traffic information between the U.S. government and certain technology and manufacturing companies. SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) / PIPA (Protect IP Act) / ACTA (Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement) are three Government Acts that have been causing quite a stir lately. These are acts that are good concepts in theory but are being gone about the wrong way. The idea is to protect creative work from being stolen and distributed for free on the internet but censoring the internet is not the way to do this. Especially because the way in which the laws would be enforced would be in an extreme and slightly impossible fashion. If these acts passed then online privacy would also turn into a limited and rare commodity. So please do what you can to aid in this cause to keep the internet free.
