Secure Kabul International Airport in the next 24 hours!  

Afghanistan fell to the Taliban, who rechristened the country as the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. They swept across Afghanistan in just ten days. By 15 August, they were at the gates of Kabul. Today, they control the entire country, resulting in the displacement of thousands of Afghans and unimaginable fear and desperation of millions. 

People are terrified that the Taliban would commit all crimes against humanity and despairing for their future. An unlimited number of people have rushed to Kabul's airport, where violence and chaos escalated. The airport is the only way out for now as the Taliban seized control of the borders. Among the crowds, there are American citizens, green card holders, and those trying to fly out to other countries. 

US troops, Afghan security and the Taliban fighters fire gunshots into the air and at people to disperse crowds. They also throw stun grenades and fire tear gas at them. Each time they lower their weapons, pointing at people, the crowds surge back, resulting in babies, children, elderly adults fall and get run over. Over 30 death of civilians, an unknown number of injuries, and an uncertain number of families separated from one another with missing children have been reported. 

The airport can be secured and must be secured immediately. The Afghans have suffered enough; they deserve a safe passage from Afghanistan to get home or seek refuge in their new homes.
