"The Truth" and our Neighborhood Traffic

The Issue

Last night (10/3) was a taste of reality for many in the neighborhood of Wedgewood-Houston. The gridlock traffic that was caused by The Truth concert venue is a problem that needs to be addressed as early as possible.

If you tried to leave the neighborhood from 10:30 to 11:00 last night, chances are you didn't get out for 30-40 minutes. I'm not sure there was enough space for an emergency vehicle to make their way into the area either.

Between the Hamilton Ave Bridge being out and a train that tends to park on the tracks, our ALREADY limited entrances/exits to the neighborhood were pushed past the limits last night - and it's not going away anytime soon. The Truth will be having shows every day  through October 25th, then promptly picking up the same daily schedule on October 29th.

The idea of this petition is to start the conversation, if it has not already been started, at a level where officials can make things happen. We would either like an answer to how the problem is planned to be solved, or a date to which we can except answers.

Thank you,
