Le problème

On June 28, a gentle stray mother dog named "Wang Wang" and her three 14-day-old puppies were victims of unspeakable cruelty in Jieyang, Guangdong, China. Four minors trapped them, beat the helpless puppies to death with spiked clubs, tied a wire around Wang Wang’s neck, drenched her in flammable liquid, and set her on fire—all while laughing and filming the act. Wang Wang used her final ounce of strength to crawl back and die next to the lifeless bodies of her babies. She never bit or harmed anyone; her only "fault" was refusing to abandon her puppies.

The Loophole: Zero Criminal Accountability

This horrific act has sparked massive public outrage, yet under the current legal framework, the abusers face no real consequences. Because all four individuals are under 14—the age of statutory criminal responsibility—they were merely sent to a corrective facility. Furthermore, mainland China currently lacks a comprehensive nationwide Animal Protection Law to penalize the torture and killing of strays and companion animals. This legal vacuum essentially permits horrific violence against the vulnerable.

Our Demands:

Corporate Responsibility and Legal Reform

We refuse to stand by in silence. We are targeting both the economic drivers in the region and international legislative bodies to demand change

To International Brands: Many global corporations rely on supply chains and manufacturers based in the Jieyang region. We demand that these brands launch immediate ethical audits and halt partnerships with suppliers in regions that tolerate extreme violence and animal abuse. Blood must not taint global supply chains.

To Lawmakers and Global Leaders: We urge international governing bodies and animal welfare organizations to exert diplomatic and ethical pressure on Chinese authorities to finally enact a comprehensive Animal Protection Law that penalizes animal cruelty.
