In Memory of our dear friend Thiasia Ashley Williams (known to many as Latte). Who was murdered by a stray bullet on Martin Luther King drive while attending a community engagement event within the jurisdiction of Hempstead, NY.  We would like to dedicate the street where the tragic incident occurred in her name to create social awareness on the impact she left on our lives; as well as a staple to shed light on the need to end community violence. Latte was heavily invested in being an amazing Mother to her seven year old son Noel , who now has to deal with the emptiness of not having both parents. Known for spreading positivity , and spiritual healing over the ground she walked on she became a pivotal role in helping people find the light to their true self ! She was truly a walking blessing. She saved peoples lives while hers was violently taken by no fault of her own. It’s hard to be a bright light in a dim world ! But for Thiasia it came naturally. The universe took a heavy loss when she left us ! All we need is a minimum of 6,000 signatures before we can submit the petition so please find it in your heart to help us dedicate the whole block to her.
