Tipping culture in Canada became a disaster!

Cafes and restaurants are almost forcing you to pay at least 18%, constantly inventing new ways to ask for extra money.
The default tip amount keeps getting higher and higher.
Sometimes, they pre-select the tip for you and hope you won’t notice. And if you choose a custom (smaller) tip, the staff practically spit on you—like you’ve committed some kind of crime or owe them something!

No!
You tip for good service if you want to and if the service was actually good.
This entitlement to a tip shouldn’t be the default expectation!

Then there's the whole issue with tipping for taxis and food delivery.
Why are we expected to pay an extra 5, 10, or even 20 dollars on top of an already overpriced service—where the only thing we're getting is the service we already paid for?
Why don’t we get bonuses from DoorDash, or free miles from taxis, just for using them? Make it make sense!

This should stop! We need the government to start regulating this and bring back the old standard: tip for good service.

Businesses are responsible for paying their workers—not you.
