Jewish pilgrimage to the Temple Mount during the Hebrew month of Shevat (Jan 17-Feb 16), saw a sharp in crease of 71% over the same month last year. For the current Jewish year, since Rosh HaShana on September 20th, 10,564 Jews have ascended the Temple Mount compared to only 7,080 for the same period last year representing a 49% jump overall. Here are some events from the Month of Shevat: CELEBRATIONS: -11 Grooms and 3 Brides made pilgrimage on the mourning of their weddings. -8 Bar Mitzvah Boys and 2 Bat Mitzvah Girls made pilgrimage to mark their entry into Jewish religious adulthood. ARRESTS AND DETENTIONS: -3 Jews were arrested for bowing down on the Temple Mount. 40 Jews were detained at a police station for praying and signing after verbal attacks by the WAKF officials.
