Large numbers of Jews continue to stream to the Temple Mount to make the Biblically mandated pilgrimage for the 7 day Holiday of Sukkot. On Thursday (first day of the Holiday), 100 Jews entered the Temple Mount, while numbers swelled on Sunday morning with over 400 ascending the Mount. As a sign of warming relations between the United Temple Mount Movement and the Israeli Authorities, the police allowed the organization to hang a sign welcoming Jewish pilgrims at the entrance to the site. However, Jews are still banned from praying or worshiping at the site and the police still warn all Jewish pilgrims that prayer activity can lead to their removal from the site or even arrest. Please sign our petition if you have not yet done so and make any size contribution to our efforts to bring even greater number of Jews to the Temple Mount.
