Due to the month of Ramadan, the Israeli Police effectively closed off all access routes to the Kotel (Western Wall of the Temple Mount). 100s of Jews were turned away to their shock and outrage. The United Temple Mount Movement condemns the closing of the Kotel Plaza, which since 1967 has served as the largest and closest synagogue to the Temple Mount. However, the obstruction of access to the Western Wall is only a symptom of the real problem, which is the national abandonment of the Temple Mount. If Jews cannot pray on the Mount, they will not be able to pray anywhere in Jerusalem.
