In honor of Ramadan, Muslims escalated violence against Jews by pelting a group of Jewish pilgrims with rocks. One Jew was injured. In a departur from normal policy, the Israeli Police temporarily shut down the Temple Mount to Muslims, while allowing Jews to remain at the site. Usually, during an Arab assault against Jews on the Mount, the police evacuate the attacked, while allowing the aggressors to remain.
