This morning Muslims protested and tried to riot, while 77 Jews ascended to the Temple Mount.
The police held firm and a large number of police forces arrived to ensure that the Jewish pilgrims were allowed to visit the site safely. The police effectively prevented Muslim rioting and with the exception of "Allaha Hu'Akbar" chants, the days passed quietly.
This is the second time in two weeks that the police did cave in to Muslim threats against Jewish Temple Mount pilgrims. Last week, after Arabs, stoned a Jewish group on the Mount the Mount was temporarily closed off to Muslims.
The United Temple Mount Movement praised Temple Mount Commander, Yoram HaLevi for standing strong in the face of Muslim threats.
It should be noted that police still prevent any Jewish worship on the Temple Mount on orders of the Prime Ministers Office.
