Dress code at Saint Petersburg High School is tearing students away from their education. Instead of positive reinforcement, students are dealing with the negative influences of teachers and peers alike. We the students of Saint Petersburg High have decided that it’s time for a change. Stand up for your rights as a student to be a part of the democracy, YOU have the power to change what’s wrong and make room for what is right. By signing this petition, you (the students of Saint Petersburg Highschool) are allowing dress code to go back to the Pinellas County standards of dress code. Such as plain tee-shirts without drug or alcoholic references, no overly revealing Garments (such as pre-distressed jeans or shorts that are under fingertip length, or low-cut shirts showing cleavage). The staff at Saint Petersburg High School are more focused on sending students who are out of dress code, to ISS. There are plenty of students that need to focus and be prepared for class the following day without having the worries of being sent out of class for their clothing. Education is extremely important here at Saint Petersburg High School, That being said, Please pledge your support to this petition for a better cause.
