Barely anyone likes community wellness. Having to get up in the morning and talk about your weekend? Sounds like an absolute pain, and it is. Oh you wanted to get in the morning, maybe eat breakfast or shower between classes? Sorry, we gotta have you for 35 minutes for no reason than to talk about your feelings. On a realisitic note, community wellness may help a few people. This is not to leave you out. Therefore, it should be made optional and not a penalty to one's attendance if they do not show up. Those who need the class have it, and those who feel they don't, aren't penalized and can go out and do other productive activities. This way, there is better and more efficient flow between the teachers and students at Broadneck. Students do not feel pressured into things they may not have to attend, while others still have the help they need. Consider the thought, would you rather have the option to have more time to yourself in your school day to do as you wish, or be forced to take away from it? It is a simple question with a simple answer. Make community wellness optional at broadneck. Take back your morning and make it your own. Some of us just want our cereal, while others may actually want the help.
