Over the past few years, there has been a marked increase in gun violence and very little done about it. This has come from the lack of gun control policies our nation is willing to implement, due in part to the funding the NRA continues to give to our congress people. We, as students, are FINALLY being heard, so we must take advantage of this opportunity and do something. When our collective voice is heard we have the capability to make effective and lasting change. The problems created by a lack of gun control has become apparent in this nation time and time again, and something has to be done. There is a "March For Our Lives" event in Washington D.C. on the 24th. Having one in Minnesota on the same day demonstrates our support. This march will call attention to the extremity of these issues and need for change. We are all ONE nation and these massacres are effecting everyone. We are in a time of great loss and we must be strong and stand together on an issue that should not even exist. PLEASE sign this, PLEASE send this out to people in your community, PLEASE stand with Minnesotan students as we stand with students across the country.
