Update!

Thank you so much all of you!!! We are now 23,000 voices strong! My next steps are to speak with lawyers and local politicians to start the process of drafting a bill introducing minimum mandatory sentencing of no less than 5 years for these type of offenses. In drafting this new bill to take to state legislature I also hope to extend the statute of limitations for survivors of these crimes. Extending the statute of limitations gives the victims of these crimes time to heal before pursuing their abuser legally. Local news media has now picked this up! Media coverage will be an asset to all of us as we attempt to change a system that has been broken for so long!
