The public's right to privacy is seriously threatened by todays technology. Take the recent NSA PRISIM scandal for example or the practice of social media web sites selling your personal information to companies(See 3rd link.) Drones however, represent the biggest threat to the public's privacy than any online survallinve. The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) estimates that there could be over 10,000 drones in the skies by 2020. The problem is only compounded when one considers how easy it is to buy a drone. Right now anyone can buy a drone without any regulations or guidelines (see 1st link). Although drones can be absolutly be bennifical to law enforcement, there needs to be some guidlines in place to protect the average citizen from the misuse of drones.Right now Connecticut is one of the only states that has not attempted to regulate the use of drones. Please help fight the growing threat of domestic drones by signing this petition, thank you.
