The State Of California: Repeal the Vehicle License Fee (VLF)

The State Of California: Repeal the Vehicle License Fee (VLF)
The Issue
In a recent article, California is considering to TRIPLE the registration of vehicles in the state. The Vehicle License Fee (VLF) is confused as the registration fee to most Californians however; the actual registration fee in California is only 34 dollars and that is the only amount drivers should pay. When we purchase our vehicles we pay taxes the day we take ownership however; in California, the government feels the need to tax us every year for something we have already paid taxes on. Another reason why this is important is the fact that the Vehicle License Fee (VLF) is discriminatory to people who own newer vehicles. If someone buys a car they must pay significantly more than someone who drives the same care but 5 years older.
