South Australia needs a dedicated Cancer Centre. 

The Cancer Centre will provide out of hospital treatment services like chemotherapy and/or other cancer treatments which can be provided outside of a traditional hospital setting, in a friendlier environment, encouraging greater completion rates and improved outcomes. The Centre will also provide supportive accommodation for people with cancer from regional and remote areas who are forced to travel to Adelaide for treatment, as well as research, prevention and support programs.

As a $60 million development, of which Cancer Council SA will be the major contributor, the project has implications for job creation both during and post construction and is the type of project which is desperately needed in a state which is experiencing the highest unemployment rate in the country.
