The Sea Is Suffocating – Act Now

Mucilage is no longer just an environmental issue, it is a clear warning that our seas are under serious threat.

Due to increasing water pollution, untreated waste, plastic consumption and climate change, marine ecosystems are collapsing. Mucilage is a visible result of this damage, showing that our seas are losing their balance and oxygen.

This problem does not only affect marine life. It also impacts:

• Fishing communities and their economy
• Tourism and coastal cities
• Human health and food chains
• Future generations who depend on clean water

We believe urgent action is needed.

As part of our Erasmus+ project, we are launching this campaign to raise awareness and push for real change.

• We call on decision makers and society to:
• Improve and strictly control wastewater treatment systems
• Reduce industrial and urban pollution in seas
• Increase environmental education in schools
• Support coastal cleaning and protection projects
• Promote sustainable water and waste management policies

The sea cannot speak for itself – so we must speak for it.
