The Meadow and Children's Wood received a commendation in the Scottish Civic Trust "My Place" Awards. The Trust place particular emphasis on "place making" - where a space has been created that is welcomed by, and comes to be owned in the hearts of, the local community - the Meadow is surely such a space.
