In Delaware, we are in dire need for equitable education. Our youth of color are growing up not seeing themselves represented in History and English. They are cut off from the power of their ancestors and it is creating a more isolated future. Narratives are being written that exclude the efforts and experiences of POC and this creates a story affirming the hunters, not the lions. We need to change this. We need to create an environment and education that makes our youth of color proud of their skin, culture, and heritage.
