Dear supporters, A thank you for participating in this petition developed by the 'Salvos For A More Inclusive Church' Facebook page. The petition with signatures and the often heartfelt personal comments which you contributed will be forwarded to leadership of The Salvation Army including the International Secretary for Europe, the International Liaison Officer for Dialogue on Human Sexuality, the Territorial Commanders of those Territories mentioned in the petition and the International Moral and Social Issues Council. To have reached over 750 supporters in just three days sends a powerful message of the support there is for The Salvation Army to move forward in discussions about being a truly inclusive Church. It also highlights the support for those Salvationists currently working towards inclusion. Our intention was to help Army leadership understand some of the concerns felt by committed Salvationists and still supportive past Salvationists and friends about the need for change in the Army's response to matters of sexual orientation and identity. We also hoped to draw attention to the signficant current pastoral and missional concerns mentioned in the text. We will keep you updated of any further discussions related to this petition.
