Keep Vaping Regulations As They Are

Keep Vaping Regulations As They Are
The Issue
Recent reports show that Public Health England and some groups of MPs are suggesting that vaping rules be relaxed to allow them to be used in public places, such as buses/trains and even the workplace.
Traditional tobacco cigarettes were introduced commercially in the 1860s and it wasn’t until the 1940s and 50s that a link was made between smoking and cancer.
E-cigarettes were invented in the early 2000s and there is very little research surrounding the long term effects they might have as simply not enough time has passed - even the report suggesting they are ‘not as harmful as smoking’ admits this. Yes they don’t contain tar but they do contain chemicals.
There is simply no way that it can be stated that they are safe to use as the future cannot be predicted.
The use of them in public places puts non-vapers at potential risk and subjects them to a variety of foul scented chemical vapours they would otherwise actively chose not to inhale.
The Rt Honorable Matt Hancock MP, please do not allow the current regulations to be relaxed.
