2000 supporters.... almost 1000 UK vets have signed!

Thanks to all your support and sharing of this petition, we have passed the 2000 mark, and almost 1000 of the signatories are UK veterinary surgeons, which adds a lot of weight to this letter. By refusing to prescribe homeopathic remedies, the veterinary profession will be sending out a strong message that homeopathy is not a legitimate form of medicine in the 21st century, and very much belongs in the "alternative" camp. Humans can choose to ignore scientific fact and elect to use homeopathy even though it has been proven not to work. Animals are completely dependent on their carers to make medical decisions for them. It is therefore unethical to force them to receive treatments that been proven not to work. They have no choice. It is unfair to misuse an owner’s often limited financial resources on a ‘treatment’ that does nothing but offer false hope. Above all, using treatments that have been proven not to work is detrimental to animal welfare.
