Petition updateThe pledge of the interpreting profession to become recognised as chartered interpreters.
Small beginnings and are getting good result, keep sharing

1. The Royal Charter acknowledged our email and they will be in touch again in 10 days.
2. GMB have agreed to offer their support and we are negotiating the best rates for interpreting profession.
3. So far additional 16 interpreters have signed up to bring a Tribunal Claim following the success of UBER drivers.
All this in just one day. The support from both the profession and the general public means that the profession needs the government regulation to build public confidence in the quality of service they receive.
We wouldn't go to see a part-qualified GP or ask an unregistered gas engineer to fix our boiler, why should we be accepting anything less in interpreting?
