It has just come to our attention that one of the potential names for the Canadian two-dollar coin while it was under development was "The Deuce". 

The names "Loonie" and "Toonie" are ridiculed all over the world as being names too goofy or cute for "serious economies". The name "Deuce" is a powerful name capable of commanding respect in foreign markets. The Canadian dollar is the lowest it's been in years and we feel it's time our money had a new name worthy of respect and admiration... starting with renaming "The Toonie". 

If there had been a vote 18 years ago, we feel the Canadian people would have chosen "The Deuce" over "The Tonnie" for the name of their two-dollar coin. No such vote was supplied. This is your chance to make your voice heard!
