Do not deport John Calvin back to Palestine and treat him with human rights. Retract the Letter of Deportation. Ask Yourself, a country ran by Hamas, you honestly think they will let John Calvin live for turning on them?

Do not deport John Calvin back to Palestine and treat him with human rights. Retract the Letter of Deportation. Ask Yourself, a country ran by Hamas, you honestly think they will let John Calvin live for turning on them?
The Issue
On CTV Edmonton News on January 3, 2015 a news item came out regarding John Calvin who received a letter of deportation on New Year's Eve for him to be deported back to Palestine by the Immigrations Department. This is surely a death sentence for him if he is to be sent back to Palestine. For a country that is ruled by Hamas, do you think that he will be given fair judgement for turning on their beliefs? Although John Calvin openly denounces the group and openly admits his parents have ties to the group, this is how our Government is basing their decision on John. Is it fair to persecute a man based on his parents ties and beliefs and not his own? The answer is no and he should be given a fair chance. You can read CTV's article in the following link and his video is in the article. CTV Edmonton News and Video of John Calvin Fearing For His Life For Denouncing His Parents and Ties To Hamas, Now Facing Deportation Back To Palestine.
Why I started this is because I believe that one should be treated with fairness and respect and given a chance to live in a Free and Democratic society and not be persecuted only because of what his parents are a part of which is the Hamas Group in Palestine. Mr. John Calvin does not want to be associated with his parents and does not believe in that group. He has gone as far to changing his faith belief to Christianity. In his country to go against the radical beliefs of Hamas which can be treated like treason, it is not uncommon for one to be put to death for that act and not be given your basic human rights to life and choice if you do not comply and agree with them.
Why and how he came to Canada and what he is facing:
1. Parents in Palestine belong to the Hamas group and he does not share their beliefs but rather he turned Christian at the age of 19 and hid it from them.
2. When his parents found out, his father tried to kill him because as he is the oldest he was to have a role in the Hamas Group of what his father believed in. Again not what John Calvin believes in.
3. He managed to be sheltered in a Christian Church and got a scholarship to come to a bible college in Toronto and applied for Refugee Status when he was in Canada.
4. Refugee Claim was suspended and handed to Ministry of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness in 2012. A hearing was held and on this past New Year's Eve he was issued his letter of deportation, and when watching the video, it's saying the Government is labelling him to having ties with the Hamas Group. How is that fair?
If we allow our Government to do this, we are allowing our Government to do an immoral act and injustice to John Calvin by not giving him a fair chance at life in Canada.
If you were in John Calvin's shoes who lived in a place where speech is not free, you disagree with your parents beliefs but have no one to speak to being isolated, you decided to adopt a faith that goes against the parents and that of Hamas. Would you honestly speak out openly if you valued your life while in that country knowing there is a "Very Good" chance at being killed for holding those different beliefs? Human nature naturally defaults to self preservation rather than to be persecuted and only a few actually would stand up and face persecution openly. However for those who do stand up openly in that country, do you think we would hear news of their sacrifice and persecution on this side of the world?
If we allow the Government of Canada to send this John Calvin back to Palestine, this will also allow the government for future cases to do whatever they want with prejudice and unjust cause of similar cases. When you stop and think about it, it is slowly taking away our rights because fear has become the basis of our legislation. This is what the groups like ISIS, Al-Qaeda and Hamas want. It also is not promoting peoples rights of Freedon of Religion in this case John's choosing Christianity but rather to silence him if he is deported.
John Calvin needs your support to be able to stay and has a right for his life, your support for this will be for a vote for his life, holding up human rights, and telling the Government of Canada that they cannot just label someone as they deem fit as to "who is a terrorist" and "who is not" only because of his parents beliefs. He shoud be given a benefit of a doubt. Each individual should be given a fair hearing and in this case John Calvin thought he can openly share it with us here inside Canada. He never did want to be part of the Hamas group his parents belong to and the only way to be safe he needed to escape from Palestine. Your support is very important to tell the Government of Canada "WE SUPPORT MR. JOHN CALVIN THAT HE HAS A RIGHT TO HAVE A FAIR CHANCE AT LIFE BY NOT DEPORTING HIM BACK TO PALESTINE!"
There is also an online crowdfunding if you are able to donate for his appeal costs which there is a link in the CTV News Article on that and is started by Drew Ziegz, John's friend. The link is here if you are interested to support also his appeal cost. John Calvin's Friend's Drew Ziegz raising funds for Mr. Calvin's Appeal Cost (I do not know Drew Ziegz or John Calvin, I felt mainly felt a need to at least start a petition to help out on a man's life and to be given a fair chance.)
The only way to delay deportation is if John has a chance to appeal, the only other way that this does not happen is The Minister of Public Safety and/or Citizenship and Immigration overturn their letter which can also be ultimately decided upon by the Prime Minister.
PLEASE SIGN THIS TODAY! If we win, we helped save John Calvin's Life, if we lose, we will have lost a little more sense of humanity and what it means to be able to have Rights, Freedoms, and Choices in this wonderful country of ours called Canada.
We are told not to judge a book by it's cover so in essence we should give John a chance. Thank you for supporting this petition.
