Petition; Establish Gladwin County, Michigan. as a Second Amendment Sanctuary County.

Petition; Establish Gladwin County, Michigan. as a Second Amendment Sanctuary County.
The Issue
A countywide effort to unify citizens which support the Second Amendment to submit a resolution to force our elected officials to acknowledge our Second Amendment rights per the United States Constitution and the Michigan Constitution and not enforce any law that takes those rights from us, the citizens of Gladwin County, Michigan.
There is a need to ensure that the rights granted by the United States Constitution, Second Amendment and by the Michigan Constitution, Article 1, Section 6, remains intact and upheld for each and every citizen of Gladwin County. There is new legislative measures that are potentially sought to supersede what is Constitutional pertaining to these rights, including but not limited to firearm type, magazine capacity and “Red Flag” laws.
In following the petitions and resolutions submitted for a Second Amendment Sanctuary County, filed by residents of Cheboygan County, Chippewa County, Delta County, Ionia County, Iosco County, Jackson County, Kalkaska County, Lapeer County, Mackinac County, Montmorency County, Monroe County, Osceola County, Oscoda County, Presque Isle County, Schoolcraft County, Wexford County which were signed and adopted by their respective County Board of Commissioners, and various other counties throughout the State of Michigan which are pending action, the residents of Gladwin County, Michigan are petitioning that the Board of Commissioners will publicly issue a statement that supports upholding the United States Constitution, the Michigan Constitution and the Constitutional rights that each citizen retains especially those regarding the Second Amendment in particular.
Let Gladwin County follow the sixteen counties within the State of Michigan which have already adopted a Second Amendment Sanctuary County status.
By signing this petition you are requesting that Gladwin County remain a place of Constitutional rights by asking the Board of Commissioners not to endorse any expenditures or actions that would infringe on the Second Amendment. A further request is that the Board of Supervisors specifically states, in writing, that Gladwin County is a Second Amendment (“2A”) Sanctuary County.
