Councilman Isaac Galvan has violated the trust of Compton residents and the sanctity of our elections. In an article by the LA Times detailing the charges, Councilman Galvan was arrested Friday morning and charged with conspiring to rig votes to secure his victory in an election he won earlier this year by just one ballot.  He also faces an additional charge of trying to bribe a county registrar employee as she was counting ballots on election night. The criminal complaint was filed by the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.

We the people of Compton demand that Councilman Issac Galvan step down. It is a privilege to represent the residents of Compton and on multiple occasions he has disgraced, broken laws and regulations while representing us. Enough is enough. It is time to raise the bar in our community and begin the process of moving the city forward.

We demand accountability, now.  Step down immediately.
