Petition Calling for Accountability and Withdrawal of Mark Davis as a Candidate for Florida’s 16th Congressional District

We, the undersigned, respectfully call upon the appropriate political party officials, election authorities, and community leaders to take immediate action regarding the candidacy of Mark Davis for Florida’s 16th Congressional District.

Those seeking to represent the people of the United States should demonstrate integrity, sound judgment, respect for the rule of law, and a commitment to civil discourse. Public officials and candidates carry the responsibility of setting an example through their words and actions.

We are deeply concerned by a pattern of public statements and online conduct attributed to Mr. Davis, including social media posts that many have interpreted as:

Making or appearing to make statements advocating or celebrating violence toward the President of the United States.
Encouraging others to identify or publicize the personal information of private individuals, raising concerns about doxxing and harassment.
Making comments directed at women that many view as threatening, degrading, or suggesting that violence against women is acceptable.
Repeatedly engaging in inflammatory rhetoric that falls below the standard expected of someone seeking federal office.
Whether one is Republican, Democrat, Independent, or unaffiliated, no candidate should use intimidation, threats, or language that appears to encourage harassment or violence. Political disagreement should never cross the line into conduct that places private citizens or public officials at risk.

We believe elected representatives should unite communities through respectful debate, not deepen division through inflammatory language. The office of a Member of Congress demands professionalism, accountability, and respect for every citizen.

For these reasons, we respectfully request that the appropriate authorities review Mr. Davis’s conduct and consider all lawful and appropriate actions available, including whether he remains a suitable candidate for public office. We also encourage voters to carefully evaluate the character, judgment, and public conduct of every individual seeking to represent Florida’s 16th Congressional District.
