The recent budget cuts are threatening senior benefits that us underclassman have waited

The Issue

The Board of Education is threatening to cut teacher stipends, which would cut Spanish electives, increase class sizes, and remove late-in and early-out for the upcoming seniors starting next year due to the budget cuts.

Late in/early out has been a staple and tradition in the East Brunswick community that seniors have looked forward to since freshman year. It allows seniors to have the option of either late-in or early-out and it is seen as a reward and privilege for those with enough credits. Taking away programs like these is proof this administration cares more about money than students.

Here are potential solutions:
-The superintendents voluntarily take a pay cut
-Have security take over the duties from the teacher that is normally there
-Have students sign out at the main office instead of the cafeteria
