On the very sad day of April 24, 2016, the Rainforest Cafe location in Burlington, Massachusetts tragically closed its doors due to loss of lease. This lead to many families falling into a depressive state as a result of this earth-shattering loss. My family is included in this group. 

Children can no longer go on a trip to the Burlington Mall with their friends and families, make a bear at the local Build-A-Bear Workshop, and then enjoy a nice meal at the Rainforest with the bear and the people they love. This was my favorite special activity as a child, and knowing that our siblings and children will not be able to participate in these joys is incredibly saddening.

People may say that this is not a big deal, and that no one cares for our cause, but we disagree. With all the sadness of our world today, children and families deserve a break in the wondrous Rainforest restaurant. Sure, the service could be slow at times at this specific location, but that is because there were so many families having wonderful times and making memories together. 

To make a change, we must call upon the chief operating officer of the Rainforest Cafe cooperation, Keith Beitler to bring back the lease and return the wonderful Rainforest back to the amazing state of Massachusetts. We will also call for a larger wait staff with reasonable pay and delicious food. We must put in the work to save everyone's favorite restaurant! No Massachusetts residents want to drive all the way down to Atlantic City, New Jersey in order to enjoy a meal at the Rainforest; we deserve better!
