On behalf of our Raines Vikings football team, I request the support from the community-at- large to assist me in a call for justice. On November 22nd, 2013, the Vikings played in the first round of the FSHAA divisional playoffs against cross-town rivals the Bolles Bulldogs. Our beloved Vikings were victims of what many called the most atrocious officiated sporting event they have ever witnessed. Dan Hickman, longtime Jacksonville TV sportscaster, tweeted the following in reference to the game, “…those refs…, not good, not good at all…#EMBRRASSING”

Community, this is a serious matter. How long will we go on not advocating for our youth? To some, it is only a game; actually, this is about basic humanity. “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” ~Martin Luther King, Jr.
