Uniform policy should be set in consultation with the student and parent bodies and reviewed as necessary per the State Government.

1. The growth in the school population means changing into sports uniforms is using up too much time as there are only a fixed number of places where children can change.

2. The weight of the school bags is dangerous to the health of the students and all steps to minimise the amount of stuff they have to carry should be taken.

3. Other state high schools allow students to wear sports uniform to school on "sports" days. There is no reason Mansfield High should not.

4. Environmentally, laundering a uniform that has been worn for 2 hours & then scrunched up in a school bag for several hours is wasteful.
