More welcome news from across the Auckland CBD.  We are advised that a new community initiative has launched to find a home for the National Erebus Memorial.  Their website www.EMP.org.nz states that they will 'develop the opportunity for a dedicated Erebus Memorial Park for the National Erebus Memorial, for the consideration of all affected by the Erebus tragedy.'

The proposed location is at Western Springs Precinct, next to the Aviation section of the Museum of Transport and Technology, and Meola Reef Reserve Te Tokaroa.  There is a public open day on the proposed site this Sunday, 25 July, from 10am - 4pm.
