Say NO to Health Passports
The Issue
The UK Health Secretary is proposing tests to determine whether someone has previously been infected with coronavirus.
When the antibody tests are available the government would look at the possibility of issuing immunity certificates, he added.
The idea is a 'Health Passport' which will allow or disallow you from working, using public transport, entering buildings, visiting friends etc. Those with the Passport would experience lighter 'Lockdown' regulations, whilst those who have not been tested or refuse the test, would remain confined by the Rules Of Self-Isolation and Lockdown.
The PROBLEMS with THE HEALTH PASSPORT:
1. A FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY:
Eleanor Riley, Professor of Immunology and Infectious Disease at the University of Edinburgh, said that 'We don't know yet whether somebody who has had this virus is immune... For the general public, saying you're immune they will think 'OK, I don't need to worry anymore' and there will be people who will die as a result of that... I think it's very risky and I don't think it's necessary.'
2. THE NEED TO GET INFECTED:
Paul Hunter, Professor of Medicine at the University of East Anglia, warned that if they were issued to the wider population, then fraud and deliberate attempts at getting infected could come into play.
3. THE TRESPASS ON HUMAN RIGHTS:
If returning to work or using public transport is dependent on having the Health Passport, then the test becomes a mandatory requirement for work or life, where free choice is removed: either take the test or become an outcast. That trespass against human rights could open the door to Compulsory Vaccines being required in order to obtain a 'Health Passport'. The choice not to accept vaccination would come at a heavy price.
4. A 2-TIERED SOCIETY:
In addition to the bigotry and division caused by race, colour, creed and sexuality, the Health Passport would effectively define an Underclass whose freedoms are limited, and an Overclass whose liberties have been at least partly restored by their compliance with the test. The choice to not be tested would be severely punished by such a divisive strategy of immunity discrimination. Immunity Discrimination, once established, could easily be extended to include other conditions like HIV in your 'Health Passport'.
