Animal lovers and activists in Turkey were thrilled today to hear that the Turkish government had withdrawn the draft amendment proposal before it was discussed by the parliament's Enviroment Commission. Officials stated that the proposal will be put back into the Commission agenda after some changes have been made to controvertial articles. However, what these changes will be is not yet clear.
