Thank you everyone who has signed so far - we are now pushing close to 400. Reading through the comments of why people are signing is very moving, and I'm glad there's some hope for a constructive response through this.

We just simply have to get the powers that be to listen to the community and scientists and the fire fighters - and completely change what they are doing!

We can't ever have anything like this again.

In order for this petition to carry some weight we really need to get the numbers up into the thousands - so please share it wherever you can - that is the most constructive thing you can do here after signing.

I know a great deal of you are effected directly by the fires, stay strong and rest assured there is a groundswell of belief and good will that wants to change how all of this dealt with in the future. Stay safe and take care - tough times ahead, but we can get there
